About the Vato Rat Bones Artwork:
The Vato Rat was created by artist Craig Stecyk. Coming from the Santa Monica Dogtown "Z-Boy" surf-skate scene of the 1970's, Stecyk was surrounded by Hispanic gang culture and graffiti. At the time he was airbrushing a lot of Zephyr surfboards and blended that influence into his work. The Vato Rat was one of the many symbols he used to decorate surfboards and generally mark territory at local surf spots. In 1983 Stacy Peralta decided to bring the Vato Rat back as a Powell-Peralta graphic. They called it "Rat Bones" and it was used in advertising, on decks, stickers and T-shirts.

- XL is Too Tight Review by Michael
I’ve bought hoodies from here before and the XL fits loose, but this one fits tight. Once you’ve worn it a while and stretch it, it seems to loosen up. But after a wash, you have to start the process of stretching again. Other than that, it looks and feels nice. I guess the 55/45 cotton polyester combo is the culprit. Details above are dead on the money. This sweatshirt is about the closest I could imagine to the perfect hoodie. Quality is A++, fit is true to size, materials are super soft and comfy, and the graphic is classic and as cool as they come. All in all, this sweatshirt is the buy of the year.
