About the Cab Street Artwork:
In 1987 street skating was rapidly gaining popularity. Steve Caballero not only excelled at vert skating but was a top contender on the "Street-Style" circuit. Powell-Peralta decided to introduce an additional Cab deck model specifically designed for street. Artist V.C. Johnson created a new dragon graphic with a bats & bones background. Cab's name was also created in the bat shape since Cab was into Batman at the time. The Powell-Peralta logo was made using the Animal Chin font, also a sign of the times.

Powell-Peralta™ Re-Issue Construction
Powell-Peralta re-issue decks are close reproductions of their 1980’s counterparts, featuring the original Pro graphics and shape, top graphic logo and concave. They are manufactured in our Santa Barbara skateboard factory, which is still directed by a few of the same craftsmen that made them originally.

This deck is really light even with rails and is definitely great for street. it is also comfortable when doing vert because of the 9.625 width. if you plan on getting one I suggest that you get 159 or 149 trucks (indy sizes) because these old school reissues are more versatile when the trucks are slightly smaller than the width. Caballero is my all time favorite skater, I had a version of this deck back in the mid-80’s when I first started skating. I used it so much it unfortunately ended up breaking in half right in front of the rear trucks. I’ve been looking for this deck high and low to no avail.
