“There are so many within the skateboarding world who look at skating as a religion which must be practiced to exacting and specific standards; you must conform and ride this type of terrain, you must conform and do these types of tricks, you must not mix this style with that style, you must look this way or else etc. And then once in a while a skater like Andy comes along who doesn’t fit into this fanatical mold, a skater who is such an outsider himself that he doesn’t even fit into skateboarding. He doesn’t fit in because he’s not following it’s false mandates. What Andy is doing is living the creed of what a skateboarder is supposed to be. He’s not conforming nor is he looking for acceptance from conforming, and with that he’s accepting the grief and exclusion that comes with being a true outsider. That is what a real skateboarder is.” -Stacy Peralta

Droppin' In!!!!!! Review by Levi Cooper
This deck will always hold a special place in my heart, for it is the first deck I ever dropped in on, and with that said, any skater who has passion for the craft, knows how monumental that accomplishment is. It only took me 38 years to work up the nerve to lean forward and commit! As soon as I stepped on the board, the 9.13 width, sleek K21 concave, and unique shape really inspired confidence within myself to knock over some mental barriers. When you stand on the board, the old school width and "VCJ" graphic, will inspire a rush and a sense of appreciation reserved for those in search of "Chin", but the deck skates and techs like a thin deck! The nose and tail on this deck is surreal, balanced and easy to distribute weight on and above it. In 1991, I got the "Mouse and Machine Gun" Tony Hawk pro model and over the years I often reminisce how stoked I was, how much envy I received, and how proud I was to skate such a fine deck. The same can be said about the Andy Anderson Heron Flight Deck. Like Tony, Andy is a very creative and innovative skater who loves skating just as much as breathing, and I'm proud to say Andy's Heron Flight looks so fly next to my 1991 Tony Hawk, which is now 29 years old!!!! Powell Peralta, was, is, and always will be, the pedestal that all other skateboard manufactures stand on! (Posted on 4/10/2020)
Weird And Fun Review by Bryan
I used to be one of those skaters who had to have everything just right. If I couldn't land something, I'd think it was because there was a problem with my deck, or my trucks, or some other excuse.

I picked this deck because it's so different from what I'm used to. And you know what? I love it! I've never had so much fun skating as I'm having learning to tame this beast.

Having said that, It definitely feels different from the 7.75" popsicles that I usually ride. I don't how much of that is due to the fact that it's 9", that it's a Flight deck, or the crazy concave and shape. All I know is that when I go out to skate these days, this is the board I find myself grabbing.

If you don't have some already, make sure to pick up some 8.75" trucks to go with it. (Posted on 3/19/2020)

Like a skinny but better Review by Salty McHaggis
I am a big dude and I can crush 7 ply on any 3' drop. I wanted to try the flight tech and put it through some stress. This deck is light and incredibly strong. It has not broken yet.
The deck design is incredibly thought out. Balanced in the exact center with perfect nose shape and tail shape. This deck performs like a skinny with the benefits of a wide. Thank you Goerge, Stacy, and Andy for making this thing. Keep innovating. (Posted on 2/10/2020)
Helz Yeah! Review by Salty McHaggis
Ordered the AA 9.13 Heron Flight deck. I check in at 300 and I can murder a deck on any 3' drop. This flight deck has some insane strength. I have not broken this thing yet. Also this Heron Flight deck has to be the best designed deck I have ever owned. Some serious thought has gone into this. If you want the stability of a wide board that performs like a skinny this deck is perfect. And the graphic takes new printing technology and joins it with that old school 1985 - 1990 Powell Peralta screen printed feel. Thank you George, Stacy, and Andy for this deck!!!!!
