“There are so many within the skateboarding world who look at skating as a religion which must be practiced to exacting and specific standards; you must conform and ride this type of terrain, you must conform and do these types of tricks, you must not mix this style with that style, you must look this way or else etc. And then once in a while a skater like Andy comes along who doesn’t fit into this fanatical mold, a skater who is such an outsider himself that he doesn’t even fit into skateboarding. He doesn’t fit in because he’s not following it’s false mandates. What Andy is doing is living the creed of what a skateboarder is supposed to be. He’s not conforming nor is he looking for acceptance from conforming, and with that he’s accepting the grief and exclusion that comes with being a true outsider. That is what a real skateboarder is.” -Stacy Peralta

Love this thing Review by Bill Smith

Board feels great, only wish the shape was a bit narrower and subtle due to chipping and the harder to flip. Outside of that amazing! (Posted on 7/18/2022)
Pleasantly Surprised Review by Julian

This is my second AA flight deck. At 6’1”, 210lb, 48 yrs, I usually snap maple decks once or twice a month. If they don’t break they’re usually flexed out by the end of a month. After snapping 3 in a week (2 on the same day), I decided to try this one. I like the mellow concave, the nose has the perfect steepness for my taste. I usually like a steeper tail, but got used to the mellow kick by the second session. Over both trucks it’s exactly the same width as the axles of my 169’s. Perfect. Long wheelbase felt stable without feeling hella heavy….5 plys made for a pretty light deck for being over 9”. I loved this deck for 3 months straight. It stayed poppy through all the bad landings. By month 2, it had razor tail, all the angled edges of this shape were rounding off and by and all through month 3 they were starting to crumble ( like bone-ite back on the day). Month 4 I just keep skating it to see if it would break on me with regular use, not trying to break it on purpose. It held up. It felt soggy on every Ollie by then but never broke. Most landings were from about knee high, with a few hip high ones here and there, so I’m not doing 12 sets or anything like that. I’m thoroughly impressed. I got my money’s worth and then some . There’s still enough of this thing left to give to a less fortunate kid at the park if needed. I’ll still buy all maple decks too, but I think from here on out I’ll be keeping at least one flight deck in the arsenal…. Thinking about that Cab Ban This next. One more thing, sand the edges every once in a while or you might get some fiber splinters in your arms, hands, and legs. (Posted on 7/8/2022)

POWER SLIDEY Review by ALBONDIGA PICANTE-SMURFE

REALLY GREAT BOARD FOR POWERSLIDES, SO MUCH SURFACE AREA, YOU CAN REALLY POSITION YOUR FEET COMFORTABLY WITH PLENTY OF SPACE TO PLANT AND ADJUST AS NEEDED, SCORES VERY HIGH ON THE POWERSLIDEABILITY SCALE, ON A SCALE OF 1-10, IT'S AN 11. GREAT FOR MONSTERWALKS AND OTHER FREESTYLE STUFF I HAVEN'T LEARNED YET, WEAR YOUR PADS, STAY SAFE! (Posted on 6/12/2022)
Very hip Review by Thayne Tuason

I finally got to skate this enough to decide that I like it. A lot. Reminds me of the time in which board shapes were actually creative and diverse, before they became popsicle sticks. It also is wide enough that you can use for sliding on some longboard wheels. Good foot pockets and I love the hips. (Posted on 5/5/2022)

I've not actually set this board up yet, but judging from the high quality of all the other Powell Peralta products I've skated over the years, I'm sure it'll be amazing! (Posted on 3/14/2022)
