Flight Deck Shape 248

Built in a new production area in our Santa Barbara, California facility, Powell-Peralta FLIGHT™ decks are stronger and thinner than an average 7-ply. You'll get the feel of it in an hour or two and begin to realize you can do things riding a Flight deck that cannot be done on a 7-ply. Flight decks allow you to extend your limits, because they let you ollie higher, flip faster, do tricks more easily, while lasting considerably longer than most maple 7-plys. #flightdeckconstruction

FLIGHT™ Decks are:

Thinner - as thin as your phone
Stronger - more than twice as strong in our tail break tests
Longer lasting - The epoxy infused, fiber reinforced structure of the Flight deck is extremely resistant to breaking, and this structure gives them "everlasting pop" that doesn't fade as your deck slowly wears.
Ollies higher because of greater rebound and snap.
Team testing suggests that Flight decks will last several times longer than a 7-ply, making them a great value as well as a superior performing skateboard.

*Remember, skateboards are meant to be ridden, not run over by a car or truck.

Great deck Review by Oleg
Great deck. It's a lot better regular than 7-ply wood decks. Lighter, faster, stronger! (Posted on 2/24/2019)
Best board Review by Tyler
Best deck ever. I'm very heavy (140 kgs or 308lbs) so I'm stoked to finally have a deck that actually lasts me months instead of days like other brands (Posted on 8/13/2018)
Worth every dollar Review by Kevin
I returned to skating about five years ago to find everyone riding popsicle sticks. Being an older and heavier man whose glory days remain in the late eighties/ early nineties, getting back into skating has been a slow and frustrating ride. These shapeless pill boards were a far cry from what I skated, the flip points and tiny tails have really left me confused, and angry. I rode a bunch of reissue decks after destroying a small forests worth of decks but found myself being precious about them,..never skating too aggressively because they were like old friends, stuck between two worlds and doomed to remain an old cruiser.

So I see these Flight Decks...cars rolling over em, "The Talibreaker" vid, testimonial after testimonial praising their durability and thought, I really need a board that I can beat the sh!+ out of, if I'm ever going to progress..if this thing can outlast my Future Primitive, I may have a shot.

Recently I got a Flight Deck...beat the holy crap out of it all day on my mini ramp and primo-d about three million horrible kickflips before landing one. Last kickflip I pulled was like in 96...so...this board is worth every dollar spent. No shredded rails, no tail damage aside from a little road stamping. Pops like mad, and gave me three more kickflips by the end of my angry and punishing first day with it. If the deck can take that abuse.. and not focus, lose its snap or look like hammered Sh!+, its a win in my opinion. Thanks for being as rad as I remember P&P, Well Done.. (Posted on 6/23/2018)
Breathtaking Review by Gregory
Beautiful board, very striking. I picked the 248 shape in 8.25” to compare and contrast to my 8.25” 243 Brad McClain Flight deck. I believe a lot of fun is in my future. (Posted on 11/23/2017)
Terrific board Review by Don
highly recommend to anyone who breaks decks regularly.
Pops great, flips great and doesnt feel much different from a standard maple deck.

I've used dwindle's impact boards off and on for some time and I do find the Powell flight deck to be superior in terms of durability.

Dwindle boards do countersink the holes for hardware though.
The carbon fibre tops are very hard and it is difficult to properly sink your bolts in... and that really is my only complaint.

I will say that to my experience, dwindle impacts dont hold up as well as flight decks by any means. (Posted on 11/5/2017)
They're a real game changer for me Review by Tony Massicotte
Hey guys, I just wanted to tell you that your flight decks are the sickest. I though they were too good to be true until I ordered one for myself. They're a real game changer for me. I'm super hyped on your new pro models and I look forward to ordering one. I think I'll only be skating flight decks from now on. (Posted on 8/28/2017)
Awesome deck. Review by Bill Riel
love this one. (Posted on 5/14/2017)
Light and Responsive! Review by FarMag
I was really surprised this Shape 248 8.25" board has become my favorite lately! In the past few months I've bought the 9" and 8.75" Flight decks and loved them... but I wanted to see if and even skinnier deck would be lighter and more responsive. Even with my size 13 feet, the deck felt really comfortable! (Ok, I have to confess- I drilled the front truck holes to give me a 15" wheelbase).
I never thought I'd adapt to a smaller board after owning many 9-10" boards!

THE BEST DECK EVER Review by andresiade
Best board I've ever owned. Review by Symclone
I'm a big guy about 230 lbs, so maple decks are easily breakable to me after three weeks of use. I've had it for two weeks now and it is still poppy rigid and feels so nice under the feet. I hope these stay in production for a long time because I will be getting another one when this one dies. (Posted on 2/18/2017)
