Flight Deck Shape 244

Built in a new production area in our Santa Barbara, California facility, Powell-Peralta FLIGHT™ decks are stronger and thinner than an average 7-ply. You'll get the feel of it in an hour or two and begin to realize you can do things riding a Flight deck that cannot be done on a 7-ply. Flight decks allow you to extend your limits, because they let you ollie higher, flip faster, do tricks more easily, while lasting considerably longer than most maple 7-plys. #flightdeckconstruction

FLIGHT™ Decks are:

Thinner - as thin as your phone
Stronger - more than twice as strong in our tail break tests
Longer lasting - The epoxy infused, fiber reinforced structure of the Flight deck is extremely resistant to breaking, and this structure gives them "everlasting pop" that doesn't fade as your deck slowly wears.
Ollies higher because of greater rebound and snap.
Team testing suggests that Flight decks will last several times longer than a 7-ply, making them a great value as well as a superior performing skateboard.

*Remember, skateboards are meant to be ridden, not run over by a car or truck.

Absolutely worth every penny. Review by Chris
So I'm a guy that on top of being around 230 ish pounds, has a real issue with stomping down tricks. I'm lucky if a standard deck lasts between pay periods. So when I saw these, I skeptically bought one just to see. Well it's been like 5 months, and although the edges are pretty razor thin from chipping, and chunks peeling off. I can firmly say that this deck has blown my mind. I even got mad and tried to focus it one day to no avail. I hope that this board sticks around, because it definitely instills the confidence to go out and shred just as hard as I used to when I was younger, and skinnier without the worry of dropping $50-$60 every 2 weeks when I inevitably break it. Thanks for a damn good product, Powell. My father was right about you. (Posted on 6/23/2018)
Hooked on These Review by Clive
Had my doubts, but once I got one it was clear how good they are. No real adjustment period; felt perfect first ride. Love how the concave extends over the wheel wells, much less wheel bite than other decks I've ridden. I bought another one since I liked it so much. After months of riding it had just as much pop and stiffness as day one. At one point I went back to riding a traditional 7ply deck and ended up swapping back to the flight deck after a couple sessions, I missed it that much. The only issue is that the 2nd flight I got, there were some nose chips that peeled back pretty far and also pieces of the top layer started peeling off when I re-gripped the board. I'm primarily a ramp and bowl rider, so I rarely ever get chips these days on any deck. This didn't affect how the board performed, but with how long these last, you'll want to re-grip it a couple times. The chipping/peeling didn't happen with the 1st flight, which I re-gripped three times. Maybe still some manufacturing inconsistencies getting worked out. If you haven't tried one yet, I'd recommend giving one a shot, you won't be disappointed. (Posted on 6/6/2018)
They're a real game changer for me Review by Tony Massicotte
Hey guys, I just wanted to tell you that your flight decks are the sickest. I though they were too good to be true until I ordered one for myself. They're a real game changer for me. I'm super hyped on your new pro models and I look forward to ordering one. I think I'll only be skating flight decks from now on. (Posted on 8/28/2017)
Awesome :) Review by Justin Stork
i first saw this deck online and wanted it so bad, well i got a great job and first thing i ordered was my flight deck with bones swiss ceramics and stf wheels. The setup is amazing. Board is strong. i only buy skate one products so having the best deck out there, best wheels, and best bearings is very convenient. :) thanks skate one (Posted on 6/10/2017)
Light and Strong Review by Joe
I was a little skeptical to try this board because I skated other brands with similar technology that are very light weight, but not that durable. The Powell Flight deck is better than the competition being both light weight and very strong. I skated this deck about two dozen sessions with minimal damage, just cosmetic really. It feels as crisp as the first day I rode it. (Posted on 4/12/2017)
Great Deck, even thou it was mishandled during S&H Review by J
This is the closest deck to the one used by mcfly on back to the future movie! It's so light and strong, I fell the love already for the flight type of construction. Mine particularly came with little signs of delanination on one rail, and it seemed to me that maybe the carrier dropped some other heavy package on top of mine and it kinda chipped a bit and showed some small sign of delamination. I didn't realize until I was to put it thogheter, I got it round 11/16 and sat on the closet for all this time waitin for my older setup to be smashed to death, i wanted my flight deck shaped and I only got to grab a 8.5 popsicle which was my current serio at the time so I decided to kill that one and then use the trucks for my new flight deck. That's when I realized about the small damage and decided, oh well if it breaks due to delanimation or manufacture issues Powell has got my back!!! I set it up, did a couple of grinds and fs Indys and suddenly smacked it with a freaking obstacle and made a lil chip on one side of the nose!! F.ck!!! I almost cried, everyone in the park came and had a look and held my shoulder, everybody in my park is just in love with the deck, and can't believe that it pops so high and it's light like a feather!!! Please re-stock some fresh ones soon (Posted on 4/5/2017)
Believe the hype Review by ian
Totally amazed and satisfied with this deck. And just like another review I read, I too am eagerly awaiting the restocking of this board. I'm buying one for one of my younger buddies who breaks decks. I'm 6'/ 240lbs and have no issues with flex. Flips fast and pops unreal. People constantly stop me at the park to check it out. So nice (Posted on 1/4/2017)
Perfect Review by Andy
Everything about this deck is perfect. It took me 15 minutes to get used to and it never breaks, I only broke a ply after about a month of skating it everyday but it still skates fine. I refuse to skate any other deck now, because I'm notorious for breaking boards. I decided to leave this review after checking everyday to see if it's back in stock. Hopefully soon (Posted on 12/29/2016)
