About Dragon Formula: The amazing new Dragon Formula™ (DF) Urethane used to create these wheels is another industry leading innovation from Powell • Peralta. DF-93A Dragons will not only roll over rough terrain, but also grip and slide like 99A and 101A wheels do, so that you can do all your normal tricks and more on the greater range of skate terrains made skateable by its softer 93A hardness.
Speed: Dragons are very fast because DF-93A is super high rebound, an industry leading 18-20% higher than hard wheels. This higher rebound means you won’t lose speed in bowls or parks the way you would with an ordinary 93A wheel, and you will roll much smoother and faster on rough streets and sidewalks…even in places you used to have to walk your board.
Grip & Slide: Dragons slide on both rough and smooth terrains, and also grip when you need it. This is because Dragon Formula is not just an ordinary mid-90’s wheel formula. It has been developed over a ten year period to optimize and fine tune it to perfection. No other wheel can do what these Dragons can.
Durability: Dragon Formula is not only smooth, fast and slidable, it is also durable. The slidability comes from its unique blend of high performance materials by making the urethane weak so it will slide as the urethane wears away, not creating flats spots. Over the last 2 years I've gone between Spitfire F4's 99a in parks and OJ Nomads 95a in the streets but was swayed recently by the buzz and have only ridden these for the last couple of months: smoother ride on rough ground than a harder wheel but still fast, and slide MUCH better than a typical wheel of similar hardness. These wheels are sort of a mixture of a cruiser wheel and a regular hard wheel. They roll very well on rough ground, and you can finally do powerslides and slides to control speed at low and high speed. They also work on wooden ramps and concrete. So it is an all round great wheel. Harder wheels are better for ramps and parks, but these work well rolling to and from as well. So for anyone with rough ground these are perfect. I saw Rog's review of these wheels on YouTube & he was so hyped on them. What he had to say about them resonated with how I skate, only I skate more park than him. I agree with everything he said. & Ben Degros too except they don't really seem slower on smooth surfaces. The slide is great. It is a little different than regular wheels so you should feel them out before going hog wild. One of the things that I love about the Dragons apart form the slide is how quiet they are due to the softness. Seems like there is less vibration while riding too.
