Hey guys at Powell... I'm a 15 year old freestyler from Australia and I would like to say that what you're doing is great... keep it up.
— Michael Malyszko
80's graphics with today's standard shape-but larger sizes. Transitions, big sk8 parks etc, ETC.
— Paul
Hey man, I am glad to see all the re-issues, I can't wait to pick myself up one of those Kevin Harris re-issues. I think I am gonna pick up 2-3 of them, 1 for collection purposes, and 2 for skating =). It was one of my favorite shapes and I can't wait to get it! I hope you guys re-issue the Mullen Chessman shape and the Per Welinder Nordic Skull as well. You have no clue how many guys out there will buy these decks! There are a lot of guys that I know personally that want these and have been waiting to see them for a long time!!!!! I can't wait! You guys RULE!!!!!
— Barry Everson
I spotted your re-issues the other day in a skateshop and had to buy a few of them. I am a sucker for VCJ and Sean Cliver's graphics from the old days! Now I have become an eBay junkie, trying to find the next fix! Thanks for the memories, and hopefully more to be re-released?
— Dustin Koop
Please, Please, Please, re-issue the Mike Vallely Elephant DECK and T-shirt. You guys could make a lot of money with the reissue of Mike's Elephant logo. The decks are going for over $100.00, the sticker is going for $15-$20.00, and the used Elephant t-shirt went for $56.00 on E-bay. You guys should really consider it, as Mike's first elephant graphic is a favorite among skaters everywhere!!! Thanks for listening.
— Daniel Berthiaume
I have been a long time (since 87) disciple of Powell Peralta. When I found out that there were new products coming out I was SO STOKED! I absolutely cannot wait to see what comes next. (Vallely elephant, Hawk screaming chicken bottle nose, hint hint). Thanks so much for letting me relive my skateboarding glory days.
— Heath Coontz
Thank you for releasing all those old school decks and wheels. I hope you come out with more freestyle decks. I can't wait for the freestyle board that is coming out this week. I am going to buy it and shred the hell outa it. Thanks.
— Dan
You guys are the best. I only ride your boards. I mean you guys have been around forever, therefore I can trust you for quality boards and wheels. I'm glad that Cab stayed with you. It seems like everyone sold out. But he is the best skateboarder of our time. I envy him. I would pay anything to meet him. You guys should do a demo at the Matt Hoffman Action Sports Park in OKC.
— Joe Driscoll
Please re-issue Ray Bones snub, Jay Smith, ect, and also the Powell classics (Vato Rat, Steadam, and Powell Logo) as Powell Peralta (and the Powell Logo, on a old school shape). I have the aforementioned Powell re-issues and the Cab and would definitely buy again to get Stacy's name. But please, RB snub and Jay Smith and maybe a Beamer (I have a Powell Beamer slick I got of you fellas at ASR, but a limited edition PP Beamer... well you could ask the world for em). Cheers.
— Tony Tairua
I salivate while looking at the pictures of the reissues. It brings back memories of quitting little league baseball so I could spend more time skateboarding with friends. My first board was a Skull and Sword with Indy trucks and Bones III's. I remember trying to retouch some areas that got scratched, cause the graphics were so cool, but eventually I just flowed with it. I wish that board was still around. I can say it's been thoroughly shredded. I'm sure the same can be said about boards owned by Tommy Guerrero, Cab, Vallely, and Hawk. Thanks for the memories and thanks for showing me how much fun life can be.
— Beau J. Brennan
OK, I got the board in my possession. The first McGill Pro deck... you know what? It's too good to skate with. I took it apart and threw the wheels and bearings on another skateboard, the trucks have no scratches on them and the deck will be hanging on the wall in my bedroom. and when I get my hands on some rails, maybe I will skate it. Who knows maybe I will come across another deck in time that I will use to skate on instead of the McGill. OK, I am outa here... remember, "live to skate, skate to live".
— Trevor “The Nobster"” Mcnabb
I just want to give my respect and appreciation to you guys. When I was 11, skating became an obsession for me and guys like Ray Barbee, Tommy & Nicky Guerrero and Rodney Mullen were my heroes. I just got back into skating after a 5 year layoff and I want skating to get its respect but I love the undergroundness of it. *#$@ it, Powell you guys rule! SK8orDIE!
— Jeremiah Adderley
Hey Stacy, Nice work on the Dogtown & Zboys documentary. I really enjoyed it along with my son. I used to skate back in the day and thought he would like it. A++ on that.
— Dylan

Love the re-issues! I ride the Skull and Sword with some of the GK Jay Adams and Kryptos, o yea that's right. It's very nostalgic. Keep up with the re-issues. I just ordered a classic Cab too. They are so freaking sweet. Should throw Stacy's name back on a couple that would be cool. Regardless, nice decks.
— John Charlotte
I am 31 years old and jumped back on a board when you guys re-issued the Cab Dragon. I had a lime green Vallely that was pictured in Transworld back in '89 doing a method air off a launch ramp. Public Domain inspired skating. I dare you to re-issue the Vallely elephant. I need a board with balls and if you've got one. It's worth too much to ride, but I'm riding one anyways. The new school needs to be able to experience an old school ride and the elephant is no exception. I know I am long winded, but it would be a service to old and young for that board to resurface to inspire a new generation of skaters.
— Richard Freedman
With my Steadham classic in hand, I'm the oldest guy at the skate park by at least 15 years, but I feel like a kid again.
— Kyle R.
Aw, the 80's and the spoon nose classic decks.....I had most of the Bones Brigade decks and one that wasn't really that popular....the Powell Bug... I had sooo many stickers on that deck, it preserved the graphics when I wore out the stickers. Last week I walked into the local skateshop and after a few weeks of looking at it and deciding whether or not to buy it, the owner of the shop said, " just remember the days when you were a teen and how much fun you had riding these decks" and it kicked in... I put a down payment on a McGill classic deck, with G-Bones, Powell bearings, Indy 169's and classic Powell hardware... I gotta get him to take off the crappy grip he put on it tho... I can't wait to hit the bigger parks in the cities closer to me and show off to the punk kids what they are missing, and what I haven't had the opportunity to ride in a few years, show them what my generation was riding before they were just a twinkle in their mothers eye. 21 years of skateboarding and I still love... thanx George, Stacy and everyone who skated with the Bones Brigade in showing me how to have fun and make the fun last this long.
— Trevor “the_NoBsTeR” McNabb
The name itself sounds endlessly. What can I say? You showed me, I've learned more than skateboarding. The "cross-bones" brand changed my life by illustrating daily what freedom meant to me. The content of your visual identity was so strong and rich that it quickly becomes an influence by itself. The declination of your products and commercials made me discover graphic design. My gift for drawing found suddenly a way to look forward. Many underground behaviors were born since the end of the eighties, all of them stuck to the dark side of freedom, the one depending on money. I wish all the youngsters could search for the Animal Chin but I'm afraid he's too poor to satisfy them. I'm 35 and I'm sure we're many to feel the same way about the role you've played in our socio-cultural development, using skateboarding to make any of us responsible for our choices and thankful to be allowed to choose. Life is short and it's only skateboarding but you did it and it lasts. The future is bright. Peace out.
— Philippe Beaufrere
Bring back the late 80's decks. Re-Issue the Ray Barbee, McGill, Mountain, Saiz, Underhill. It is time! Have a nice day.

Hey guys - just wanted to drop a line to everyone at Powell, starting with George all the way down. My distributor, who has been excellent, ordered a re-issued Sword and Skull and re-issue McGill for me and I absolutely love them. Who ever shaped that McGill is a genius! I love the size of the board, and I love especially the nose. It's an excellent board for riding bowls and I can't wait to try it out in a pool this summer. The Skull nad Sword is excellent as well, and I love the concave. I also love the clear finish top on both - very, very classy.

Thanks so much Mr. Powell. You've really brightened my outlook on the skateboard business, and have given me something to look forward to in future releases of decks. cant wait to see what's next. My only request is that you do more in pink, but not the dull pepto pink, but the hot hot pink that you guys were using in the 80's. thanks again!
— Seth “C.” Baltimore
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank Powell for re-issuing these classic, timeless graphics and attaching them to updated, classic shapes that old guys like me love to ride. The graphics take me back to my days of sneaking into pools, and trying to pull my first front side air back in the mid 80s. These graphics and Powell in general played a large role in life growing up, and it's great for me to see them come alive once again. Those years of skating, eating, sleeping, trying to look like every member of the Bones Brigade and ensuring that I had the same set-up at Lance Mountain were the ones I look back very fondly on. The only question that I had is - will you be releasing any other classic graphics from that era on the new McGill shape? I ask, as my first board ever was a blue Vato Rat with Powell IIIs that my dad picked up for me in LA on business back in 1985. That board is now long and gone, however, every time I see a picture of one or see one in Future Primitive, it gives me chills. I would love to see the McGill shape re-issued with the classic Vato Rat graphic as it means a lot to me. That would the icing the cake so to speak. I don't think I would even ride it, I would just hang it up on the wall in a glass case. Thanks for your time, and thanks again for looking after us old school cats. It means a great deal to me, and I am glad that I can get that piece of my life back again. Cheers,
— Jeremy “T.” Mccarthy
Hey there... I just wanted to drop a line and say thanks for doing such a good job on the re-issues of the classics. I've been skating since 1978, and Powell has been my favorite in terms of shapes, graphics, and wood, for as long as I can remember... not only does offering these classics to us allow older skaters to re-live some of our favorite times, but it shows the younger generation of skaters where it all came from.

Great Job Powell!! I just want to commend you on a terrific job that you have done on the recently released Powell decks, specifically the Rat Bones and Cab Dragon decks. Not only are these the best re-issues that have been put out by ANY company but they are truly some of the best decks that I have seen in several years. The soulful shapes and mellow concave are perfect and the graphics top notch. A beautiful job indeed. Being an adult at 30 years young, these decks truly mean a lot to me. I realize that the trends in skating have changed drastically since I started skating in the mid-eighties and to stay in business you have to build decks for public demand, i.e. popsicles. But please don't forget about your loyal customers of yesteryear. Although we are a niche market small in comparison to the hordes of teenagers that skate today, we are still here kicking, screaming, collecting and skating. A lot of the Powell history influenced who we are today. Many of us are involved in art direction or graphic design and VCJ's body of work helped shape that interest. Seeing these images again on a quality product not only helps great memories resurface but inspires us all over again. I sincerely hope that more quality re-issues and graphics are in the works on the great shapes that we've come to love. Please commend the people involved in the production of these decks. They truly deserve it.
— Dan D'alesio
Good work, Powell... please keep it up! Just wanted to say what a great job y'all did on the spoon-nose decks... I just got them both. I have been buying all the old school decks you put out - the big hybrid shapes & classic graphics, but am now doubly stoked that the old shapes are being re-issued. I certainly hope that this is a trend that will continue... myself & most of the guys on the Skull and Bones Skateboard Forum are all very hyped about it! We'd love to see an original Caballero dragon in the pig shape, as well as a McGill jet fighter, Steadham, Lance Mountain Future Primitive, Alan Gelfand, Ripper, Skull and Sword (with Ray Bones Rodriguez on it, if possible). Any thoughts to the old routed wheel wells? That and the types of stains used on the blue Gelfand, pink Skull & sword, orange Caballero pool-sized decks would be cool as well. Love the top graphics as well! OK, I'm rambling here... suffice it to say that I'll be buying whatever you put out, as will most of my old-school bros... ;)
— Steve Shook
I just wanted to let you know how great the new Vato Rat and Caballero Re-Issues are. I collect older boards and these look great next to them! I hope in the future you plan on doing these graphics: Vallely elephant, Barbee ragdoll, Cab bearing on old shape like vato rat, Cab Dragon on motorcycle, Cab Dragon playin guitar, Hawk first graphic, Mcgill 1st graphic, Guerrero 1st graphic, Mountain Future Primitive (both kinds). Thanks.
— Chris Piotrowski
This cd rocks. What a flashback to the days of old! This music is still awesome to skate to!!!
— akbk6100
I recently purchased the Bones Brigade Video Tunes cd. It has not left my cd player. I have been groovin to it for the last week straight. I have been a fan of all of the movies since they came out in the the 80's. Hopefully you will put out another CD with the music from the next 3 videos, Public Domain, Ban This, and Propaganda. I was so stoked to see on the website that you put a CD out, and even more jazzed when I put it in my cd player and rocked out to some Johnny Rad. Thanks for putting out an instant classic cd... Sk8 on,
— Brian
If you grew up and skated during the 80's, anybody that was anybody knew about Powell Peralta skateboards and knew about their ground breaking, landmark videos. Future Primitive was the first video I remember renting from my local skateshop. Once I go that thing home, I must have watched it a dozen times that day. I couldn't think of anything cooler than that video. You had the best skaters, the best filmwork, the coolest looking graphics and you also had a great soundtrack to go along with everything. Not long after renting Future Primitive, I tracked down Bones Brigade Video Show. Once again, I was blown away, from seeing Bones Brigade Video Show, I could see how the groundwork was laid out for videos like Future Primitive. Not long after, Animal Chin was released and once again the bar was raised. One common element within all those videos was the superior soundtrack. When I saw Powell had released a CD of the first three video soundtracks, I immediately placed my order. Upon receiving it, I tossed it into my CD player and was instantly thrown back to those videos. It's been a couple of years since I've pulled any of the actual videos out, but from hearing those songs, I knew exactly what scene was playing, who was skating and how I felt watching those videos for the first time. This CD brings it all back. I remember when I use to take a tape recorder and lean it up against the TV while the videos played. I'd take my boom box out, throw that tape in and shred. All I can say is, thanks Powell, thanks for giving the long time fans and newer fans a taste of what was a very special time.

My Bones Brigade Video Tunes cd arrived Saturday morning, and it's already become my favorite CD. I grew up in the 80's and 90's as a hardcore Bones Brigade fanatic. I watched those video's over and over and over again. The music was what made those video's so incredible and it would play over and over in my head as I skated all day. I've searched for most of this music in stores and online for what seems to be an eternity. To have this music available now is a dream come true for anyone that skateboarded in the 80's and 90's. I hope Powell will release a soundtrack for all the other Bones Brigade videos because all those videos are the perfect blend of what skateboarding is about.
— Bret “Alan” Stivason
Just got it this morning at work and put it right in... What memories... Great idea to come out with this... As a teenager me and my friends re-created the Animal Chin video in our hometown, now I am going to try to add in some of the animal chin music with my computer for fun... Great stuff guys—remember to always keep it old school.
— Scott
Just writing to say how stoked I am about the CD. It brings back a lot of memories of why I'm still skating at age 28. I think that almost every skater from back then probably has those movies memorized. It can be played at a session and its just like being back in the '80s.
— Doug V
Got the Bones Brigade Video Tunes CD and I think it is the best thing ever! How about the next cd with Public Domain, Ban This and Propaganda tunes? There are so many good tunes in those videos too! That would take everyone back to those good old days. Thanks Powell, for the memories. You're the first & the best!
— Julian Slatter
Be ready do feel some g-forces with the g-bones wheels!
— Jon “Harald” Aspheim
Rolled my Cab for the first time the weekend and have one word for it - comfortable. The snub nose, concave and wide tail combine to transport you into a comfort zone long forgotten, 1980! Thanks guys.
— Steve Thompson
Yes, yes, yes, it is truly great that Powell Peralta is back together. In fifth grade it was the greatest thing on my block to skate and have a Powell Peralta board. I loved the graphic so much. It was insane, I didn't have the money to collect the decks so I just collected the stickers. It's been twenty years since then, and we have seen a lot come and go, but you guys are still around. I've been collecting boards since around 2000 and this year was the highlight with the reissue of the old shapes. It is almost impossible to find or afford the originals, so I truly thank you. The feelings back!!!!
— Wade Bruemmer
I am very pleased to see that you guys are doing the re-issues. I think I am going to purchase at least 3 or 4 of them to hang on my wall. I wanted to know if you will have the skull and sword, Rat Bones and Hawk re-issues? Also, will you offer the Rat Bones wheels in any other colors and hardness? Thanks for everything! I am also very excited about getting the old videos. I think from moving and letting others borrow the tapes that I don't have any left. Great job!!!!!!!!!
— Steve
Thank You!!!! I'm still pinching myself to make sure this isn't just another one of my dreams. I just snapped my last board and decided to get on my computer in hopes of picking up a used PP board. Blew me away when I found this site. I'm picking up the Lance Mountain. It's going to get set up on a new set of Indy's with a set of PP Cross Bones that I picked up a few months ago at a flea market. No more drooling on my old issues of Transworld. Thank You!
