"Bones Brigade" The first thing that comes to my mind when I think in Skateboarding! The true masters and owners of the sport, respect and worship!
— Mauro “Caracortada” Deo , Sindicato de Basura
to sum it all up......my youth, and i never want to lose those memories.NEVER!
— Jason “BIRD” Alarcon
Over the last 25 years or so I've only skated a couple of P - P boards , Lance Mountain future primitive boards. I thought them to have been my favorites the company ever made, until recently. The Jesse Martinez tribute board is probably the best deck you guys have produced in quite awhile. Thank you. P.S. please bring back the 4 hole rib bones with the rat nuts, miss those a great deal. Enjoy the day!
— Wad “Waddeem” Martin
G'Day Guys,
As a child of the 80's, I grew up with 2 brands etched into my brain Powell Peralta and Morey Boogie. I'm happy to say that I still have my Tommy Guerrero skatie and my Mach 7-7 both of which my children now now ride. I recently pulled the deck grip off the Tommy to reveal the Powell logo that I hadn't seen since 87, I must admit I got a little emotional. Unfortunatley the bottom of the deck has lost all the art work but I plan on fixing it up and getting back on it. Cheers from Australia— Gary “Ganoo”
Ok, so I'm a 33 year old who has been absent from the skate world for about 20 years. I was talking with an old friend and he had sent me some pics of us skating...I have been reborn ! As a proud husband and father of six kids now , I've picked up rite where I left off ! After several viewings of animal chin , I purchased the new cab mechanical dragon fitted with all the goodies ( rib, tail & jaw bone ) , some nice g bones , and have been attempting a lot of things I used to do ...(I'm alittle sketchy)!! I'm also attempting to collect every Powell peralta sticker ever produced ! I'm going to build a custom wood frame out of old decks , get some custom glass cut , and it will be the centerpiece of our home. I'm about one third complete...I think....I've also purchased a classic poster of the winged ripper w/ all the products on the back wich is hanging framed in our home now. Along w/ other old Powell peralta items. I am soo happy to be skating again ! It's like I'm living again. I'm soo STOKED on the stickers , I cannot wait until its complete ! I would like to have a complete list . If anyone could help w/ this ? Thank you , Powell peralta for all the old memories and all the ones to be made ...if only I would had held on to all those old decks !! -born again, CJ
— cJ “buck” Love
Sup shreders, just got me a sweet Caballero Chinese Dragon Re-issue. It is dope, the graphic if grarly to the bone and the feel of the ride is like it's a part of me. Just wanted to share my opinion from here in New Zealand, and hope to say how much I respect and credit Powell-Peralta. Up's to all you rad shredders out there. Stay gnarly. \m/
— Austin Carter , fullstop.
Bring back the little monkey logo. That was one cool monkey.
Diapers rule!
Classic T shirt, deck, what ever.— Dave “David Carroll” Carroll
Powell needs to get this guy Martin Fobes on the team from jackson MI!
— Addison Miller
Hey Powell-Peralta, just wanted to drop by to show some love. I love the products and at the skateshop I work at, Powell-Peralta seems to be the most common and greatest discussion topic I have with my older customers either buying a board for themselves to get back into it or one for a new generation in the legacy. Although I'm only 18, I'm a huge fan and just wanted to say that I appreciate your existence and what you have for skateboarding. I have your shiny silver logo sticker on the back of my car so everyone knows what I'm about. I just had one request and that would be for you guys to make your decks come in a few different sizes because I ride 8.1-8.25 but I'm in love with some of the graphics for your 8.5 decks like the new school ripper and more. If only they were a little smaller, I'd get em in a heartbeat. Much love - Tom
— Tom “Atticus” Fry , youtube.com/experienceosiris
I just got my mini skull and sword skateboard in the mail. the quality is so high in this product, and the graphic is sick. from now on all I will buy is Powell-Peralta for my skating needs.
— James “Jimbo” Nelson
Took my wife to see the Bones Brigade movie at Hot Docs in Toronto. She loved it, and it brought back a flood of great memories for me.
Shortly after I spent an afternoon assembling my Mike Mcgill reissue with blue RatBones. I was smiling the whole time. Thanks.
— Peter “J” Hampton
I am just an old sk8tr, 48 yrs old, pls if possible made Mini cubic in SPF and Powell Peralta Rat Bones 60 mm too, i love that shape, but with new formula it will be great!!!!
— Danilo “Danilo” Goncalves
PP, I love your brand today just as much as I did as a kid. The most vivid graphics coupled with the best riders. All aces. I am really diggin the early Bones graphic tees you offer. So much so I have a suggestion of an old product I'd love to see come back and I would think would do quite well. You offered sweat pants (and maybe hoodies too) with the Bones skeleton doing handplants up the right and left hand seams. I'm certain navy with white puffy ink as well as red with white puffy ink were offered. I bought the red in about 1987. I bought the XL's so I could wear for a long time (I was 10 at the time). Hands down the most compliments I ever received about sweatpants in my life. Please bring back!! Below is a link to a picture online I found of the sweat pants in question. Or if you have any Deadstock of these laying around?!?!?!! I'm very interested.
— Daniel “Pierre Moonswear” Sears , The Czar Agency
..And can we get Bones SPF in more Colors (like the Street Techs, man they have all the sick graphics and colors!). Regardless, when I'm at the park everyone is skating Bones Wheels, so VIVA LA POWELL PERALTA!
— Cheek
Hello there,
Could it be possible to make an reissue of the very famous Adam McNatt "Claudia Schiffer" -deck? That would be cool. Thanks! Best regards,— Tommi
Weren't Chad Bartie and VCJ supposed to be working on a new graphic for Chad? He needs one, and i want to own it!
Viva la powell Peralta!— Cheek
Where the hell was Alan Gelfand at the Sundance Film festival? He needed to be interviewed with the other key members of the Bones Brigade. That my friends was a huge miss. What's up with that?
— Jeff Stebbins
Love the Hoffart Pegasus; Bring on the new Bartie Graphic!
— El Once
I've been shreddin for over 25 years and riding Powell just about as long. All your products are and remain superior all the way down to your bones bushings. Thanks for stayin legit through all the good times and the bad that that the sport and the culture have had to endure.
Ryan DeWolf- Calgary Canada
Powell shredder 4 life— Ryan
I think it's time to make Aldrin Garcia and Stevie Reeves Pros, and give them their own models. Time for my beloved powell to start mixing things up a bit. Less Old School Ripper,Skull & Sword, etc. and more New School VCJ art, like the JESSE MARTINEZ TRIBUTE DECK; Sick! It'd be nice to see kids get back into powell, not just for Bones wheels. Love the Ripper, but less old graphs, and more new ones! Viva la Powell-Peralta
— James “Cheek” Thurston
All hail King George! As an 80's skate kid who once bought for himself a brand new future primitive in silver (circa early '85) with Christmas money from the grandparents, I humbly bow before you with a suggestion for this year's Holiday deck, the original rat bones design and shape with said rats wearing Santa hats. Simple yet classic and elegant. Kind sirs if you will indulge this soon to be 40 year old who still finds the time to tear it up and eat some asphault on occasion, I will pledge my allegiance to the almighty ripper whether he be winged or not as will my two teenagers who live to skate.
— Daryk
I just recieved my Flamming dagger Guerrero deck I won on ebay. I love it!!! I can't stop looking at it. I plan on getting new indy trucks with Street Bones wheels and all the powell gear, Nose bone and rib bones to finish it off. I first had one back in the day when I was 12. My wife went mental, I thought she was going to leave me. I paid $350 Aust dollars, which I thought was worth it.
I plan to go skating again with my 4 year old boy and teach him about the Bones Brigade. Thanks for the memories.— Michael “Ollie” Olabarriaga
hi guys. saw and loved bones brigade at sundance. awesome job. i had a brief chat with stacy after a screening and gave him my card. i would love to follow up... we talked about a new movie project. any assistance would be much appreciated.
— roger kass , ringthejing entertainment ltd.
Ever think of converting "The Search for Animal Chin" to Blu Ray? Dude, that's so SIC....Great music, cinematography, and best of all, the Brigade.
— dallas
Bones Brigade 4-Life! The only truth.
— Mauro Deo
What can I say I rode powell all my skate life (started late 80's in Mexico City), my first board was Tony Hawk "Claws" and I used until it died, then (when I could get the money together)I got a skull and sword, the greatest board ever! and every time I bought a board Powell peralta was the one! I still have a nicky guerrero mask complete with gullwing trucks, cockroach wheels and swiss bearings displayed in my wall! I'm diying to see the new documentary, would it be on theaters? or just DVD release... Also I have another question, Can you please put in your website the boards (images) of the boards the riders have had during their cicle in PP... that woudl be soo cool! thanks for the memories and the broken bones...Un saludo!
— cuauhtemoc “el Niño” vazquez
Please re-issue the Hawk deck! And maybe some of Hawk's Tee's too!
Cheers!!— Carl
I am not sure if this is of any interest to you, but I wanted to let you know that I currently have one of your Beamer boards up for auction on Ebay. The interest and communications that I have been receiving have been great. It was bought in the early '80s at a garage sale and has been up in my garage ever since.... I just wanted to let you know about the auction. I am sure you have plenty of them and would not have an interest in bidding, but I thought you may pass the info on if you know of someone who is interested in the board. Thanks so much... I have learned so much about your history in the past week. It's been really fun....
— Coopdub
Hey, I'm a skating enthusiast from Sydney and have loved it from a young age, just wanted to say thank you for following what you love!I fell in love with the Dogtown articles, the doco and the film and can't wait to see the new autobiographical film, peace out and God bless
— Jemma “cubby” schouten
Ditched church on Sunday and decided to grab my 16 year old skater son and take him to Santa Barbara to see the Powell Store. Spent more than I should have but I had to purchase the McGill deck I rode as a kid, got him an original Cab, and ofcourse the T's and patches!!Had a great time, the crew was very helpful they even took some money off the top!!
— nahum
What can I say that hasn't already been said, Powell & Peralta rule! I'm 40yrs old (still skating) from the UK (Essex) and grew up watching and copying the Bones Brigade.
I Have 2 Caballero "bats" decks. But I'd love a release of Hawk's deck & a Ripper in the bottle nose shape pleeeeeeeeeeease!!!— Carl
Web. I`ve been skating since little, now im 24 and im skating my self to the top in downhill and oldschool style, much as surf kind of riding my skate as much as a street warrior(im not afraid of cars or police and i got a deep sense of justice). its been a year since i got my first powell peralta, now i got 3 of them, the ray rodriguez(this one survived a car after being crashed by it, and still rolled de hell out of me), then i bought a rob roskopp santa cruz(this one is in guadalajara, other place i used to live), then the caballero(still rolling), and now im hitting my self with the mini ripper(all in the oldschool shape). Even thought i dont have much experience in verts, i do have a great deal in skating for fun, for art and even for my dearest love, because skating is not only about a sport, its about a style of life, a philosophy, a way of life! off the system. I really would like to have sort kind of connection with the team, and by that i mean the company. i may not be in any team, but im also A-TeamRider. When I ride my skate I fly and I fall, thats the fun, thats the art and thats the way I make love. Piss & Love.
— Luis “Sierrita” Sierra , PK skatepark La Paz BCSurf
cant wait for the brigade autobiography, since following the bones brigade from the 80s and seeing them on tour in 1989 at romford skatepark essex (uk) and latimer road in london (uk) on the huge vert ramp they were great times now im 38 years old but the memories live on and i still have a few decks from way back then but not for skating just hung on the wall , the re issues that have been brought out have been great , but how long we gotta wait for a mullen chess and a guerrero dagger/flame , come on you guys at powell sort out us old school skaters from back in the day , with the decks we still crave even now !!!
— Sy “Kraken” Ayley
Is it ever possilbe to make the rat bones in a SPF, with the same shape? Food for thought. Or the mini cubics as a 60mm and SPF. I'm 53yrs. and I love those shapes. Thank you and have a bless it Christmas. Steve Guzman
— Steve “OG53” Guzman , Just an old sk8er
One of the greatest moments of my life: My dad bought me a Frankie Hill "Bulldog" pro-model at "American Sports" in Hamburg in 1991.
I had such a great time with this board! in 1992 it was updated with blue Rat Bones II in 95a/60mm... i was a lucky guy!
One of my best friends in this day drove a Tommy Guerrero "Flaming Dagger/pointed nose".
That will be awesome if u bring back this deck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
U guys are great!— Florian “Flow666” Spiecker
Stacy Peralta Old School Gladiator, Dogtown is the Source of everything we do today. Saludos a todos los Brigaders ♠
— Mauro “Perro Loco” Deo
The Bones Brigade has always been a part of my life! My first board was a blue ripper with trackers and ratbones. Epic. It was stolen, but always rode Powell Peralta. Art work, quality (except for the XT decks!) was always the best! The day I found Animal Chin was the best day of my life. I must have watched that video over 10000 times. Thanks again for the memories, and look forward to the Bones Brigade Documentary.
— Jason Brauer
only one wish, BRING BACK THE "BAN THIS" CABALLERO MODEL!
— Stefan
Powell classic retro re-issues such as the Steve Steadham model offer the ultimate in stability which is extremely important for me as I am a handstand specialist. I am the only skateboarder in the world to bomb Hill Street, Signal Hill, CA in a handstand on my skateboard which resulted in an amazing velocity of acceleration and also where I started it went from 10 degrees to 20 degrees to 40 degrees to almost 45 degrees of slope or more, all while upside down in the most insane HandStand Skateboarding footage which was captured on digital video and which I am finally taking out of the vault to have a Physics dude study it for Skateboarding world records of physics for acceleration, angle of degree in a handstand on a skateboard, and the enormous G-forces which my body had to sustain when I crashed. I was in and out of the hospital for a year and had to have 4 surgeries on my left knee as my Patella tendon exploded (my kneecap ended on near my thigh) which had to be re-attached in major surgery and then it got infected with MRSA (methecylin staph resistant aerelus) which went into the bone and I was facing amputation. Dr. Laurie Mortara a USC Professor of I.D. saved my leg but it was a very long road as it kept re-infecting and I had to rehab three separate times and learn to walk three separate times. I credit the stability of the Powell Steve Steadham re-issue with saving my life, as well as God through my guardian angels and as well as my talented surgeon and extremely good training prior to the attempt (I practiced segments of the hill in a handstand for nearly a month). For legal reasons I never released the video as I would not want it on my conscious if a younger skate attempted the same and perished on that hill in a millie second which is really what should have happened to me.
I am now in the best shape of my life and I am planning on setting at least two new Guiness book of world records, most likely on my very trusty Powell re-issue (the one I crashed on has been retired by me and some luck dude in Long Beach, CA is riding it.
My brother Troy is a contractor right there in SB, CA (Safeguard Roofing) and I love the fact that your product is not only made in the USA but also made in a town I know very very well and visit often.
Best Regards to Mr. Powell the Legend Stevie C. and the krew at Powell.
— Brad “HandStandMan!!!” Hauser aka Emehiser , HandStandMan Productions/Byrd and Chapman Media Arts Advertising Agency
Longshot but I wanted to let Stacy know that in his skate documentary my home is shown in Encino CA. I was blown away when I saw it and knowing some of the original greats skated MY pool is amazing! I would empty it if some of those people wanted to come skate it again after so many years! I think that would be pretty cool. Anyway...if you ever wanted to make that happen let me know and I am down.
PS - Brad Bowman was a high school friend of mine.
— Chris Bryer

You cannot underestimate what a HUGE part of my (and all my friends) life P&P skates were.
Always the bench mark for innovation and style in skateboarding - in bot h their sponsored pros and their product.
Nothing will ever feel as special as it felt setting up a new powell & peralta deck back in the day and popping that first ollie on it!!
I'm so stoked also that Mike V is back on powell - the guy's a legend and remains the most influential skater to me personally in skatings history.
I'm 40 years old (and proud) still skating - now with my kids, and its not nostalgia, it's appreciation of worth..Thanks powell & thanks mike!!— Jay Butler
Wow! Art work is amazing and the boards ride great. What more could you want?
— Darren
I purchased one of your boards it got ran over by a jeep today and it still works perfectly I've been the type to use a single brand but I'm keeping this brand it is super legit
— Roy Raas
one and only board i skated. Still remember Christmas morning waking up to the Caballero deck white with the red bats and dragon, g&s trucks and powell t-bone wheels that was almost 25 years ago and i still have the board and my son is riding it now.. also have the blue one...
— Patrick “Gritz” Coogan
Your products are #1! Whatever you're doing, you're doing it right! Keep it up.
— Mike
Hy guys, I love the brand since childhood! I'm a full grown up now.. but still with a kid mind. I started drawing on skateboard a few years ago and i wondered if you might be interested in some designs. I've decided to draw on old school boards only from now on! real stuff! Peace.
— Xavier “Mr.X” Thilly
I started skating back in '87 and one of the best gifts my "dad" ever gave me growing up was my first pro PP-red skull/snake "Mike McGill" skateboard. It meant so much to me. Other boards I had growing up were..."Skull and Sword", "Per Welinder", and Cab's "Chinese Dragon"...Those were the best moments of my childhood; things have changed since then but I'm glad you guys are re-issuing the classics. Thanks for the memories PP...your proudest fan...
— Alex “A-1”
My first pro-deck was a white Powell-Peralta "Skull and Sword".It had great design and graphics and I was amazed by the stability and the tricks I could perform with it.The decks from other brands I owned afterwards never gave me so much fun and satisfaction as my Powell-Peralta deck. Thanks for the great time of fun, friends and endless summers the P-P cooperation gave me!
— Bjorn
This is a brand of board I have love through out my childhood and adult life. I am excited to be associated with this website and hope learn of their growth and product development as they excel.
