The Rat Bones wheel was actually a "Rollerbones" product. Rumor has it that while visiting the company one day, Steve Caballero saw the wheels and wanted to try them out on his skateboard. He liked them. The wheels were much lighter than Cubics and Mini Cubics which were eventually phased out in favor the newly dubbed "Rat Bones."

Feels like you are rolling on glass. Paired up with some Super Swiss 6 Bones bearings and they are a match made in heaven. Love the feel of these. (Posted on 5/13/2021)Rating - Just like the originals Review by Matt
I purchased these to go with my yellow Vallely elephant Powell Classic reissue deck. They look and feel exactly like the originals. Plenty of grip for cruising on rough terrain. I love the classic look too. (Posted on 3/15/2021)Rating - Old school cruzer Review by Mike
These wheels ride smooth no pebble stop. Put on a old school modern tony hawk. these also work well on half pipes and bowels. (Posted on 10/2/2020)Rating - Timeless Review by Brian
After a 25 year hiatus, started skating again in my mid 40s and old school Rat Bones on a Caballero reissue have been perfect for learning transition (back in the late 80’s in our parts we only had curbs, launch ramps and parking garages!). Glue like grip for bowls, stable width, and still being on the soft side, I can float around the park in lazy, stealth mode. This season I’m advancing to 97a with a more modern shape, but I’ll be throwing these back on for cruising or whenever I want to keep the ride mellow.
