CAB w/xray
Six weeks ago CAB suffered a broken left shoulder, breaking it in two places. This past Saturday, CAB was able to skate again and claimed first place at the Pro Tec Pool Party.

George and Stacy enjoying the contest
CAB wrote, "Having Stacy and George there watching us, made the biggest difference in the world :) The Bones Brigade swept the podium... Hawk 2nd, Lance 3rd, McGill in 4th. How rad is that?"
Pro Tec Pool Party 2012 Highlights
A few of CAB's current teammates, Nolan Munroe 5th, Brad McClain 14th and (flow) Austin Poynter 9th, competed in the Pro division and skated well enough to get in the money.

CAB, 2012 Pro Tec Pool Party
It was a tremendous joy for me to be at the VANS Pool Party to witness Steve, Tony, Lance and Mike Sweep the masters division. I haven't been that excited at a contest in two decades. For Steve, coming off a double fracture of his shoulder, to skate as well as he did and as smartly as he did, was very special to witness. He was perfect. Tony was amazing and very focused, Lance was fast and relentless, and Mike nailed his signature McTwist in the finals. Wow! Also, Stacy and I enjoyed the entire event together at pool side, and that was a first in decades too.
The night before, VANS sponsored a special showing of Stacy's new film Bones Brigade An Autobiography, to the IASC Summit attendees and Pool Party Contestants, and Mike, Steve, Lance and Rodney were there to answer questions about the film afterwards, so the stage was set to focus on the return of the Bones Brigade's most famous members to skate together in a contest again for the first time since about 1991! So the incredible contest results were even more spectacular and special. I'm not sure if there will ever be another day like that for me.
Adding to the day's excitement for me was the PRO pool event, where Pedro Barros clearly went faster, higher and cleaner than anyone to win, Andy Mac got 4th, Nolan Munroe (the only skater to pull a transfer from the hip to the round bowl far wall) was right behind him in 5th, Austin Pointer placed 9th and Brad McClain took 14th. YAAA! Bucky Lasek was also incredible as was Zach Miller and his dad Chris. Check out the VANS footage if you can.
Yes! This really came together.
It was one of the greatest things any older skater like myself could have witnessed seeing the Bones Brigade and then seeing Stacy & George on the deck! Emotional and inspiring night to say the least. For over 25 years I've loved everything Bones Brigade and everything Powell Peralta and this contest was a dream come true for the lifer skaters out there like me! Can't wait to see the documentary. Hope it comes out close to Rhode Island soon. Thanks everyone. :)
Cab did amazing! What set up was he rocking that day it looked like a one of your mini boards?
this was serious bullshit. miller got robbed. i love lance but he had no business in 3rd, and cab had no business winning. hawk should have won, miller 2nd. i know it's great for nostalgia and shit but don't force the results.
Beyond awesome!
