"When we skateboard, our front foot is where our primary strength is, it’s where we rest most of our weight and it’s our back foot that we use more like a rudder, the back foot is used more for sensitivity. As such, I’ve always liked park or vertical boards that had a bit of a narrower tail – I like the narrower tail as it allows for a bit more sensitivity with my back foot – I can hang my back toe over the board in certain instances which gives me a bit more feel and leverage and I can ride on the ball of my foot with a bit more feeling being so close to the edge of the board than I could otherwise with a wider tail. And the slimmed down tail just gives the overall profile a sleeker feel."
